Core Issues

[Originally posted on goofyblog 11.20.06]

Two weeks ago, the clip above, “WTC Core,” appeared on youtube. Using classical music and animation it makes an elegant statement refuting the “pancake theory” for the collapse of the towers on 9/11. I’ve seen many clips regarding this issue, but this one addresses it from the engineering angle. It’s about the core of the towers. Done visually, the illogic of it is much clearer.
In other news, Project Censored, just put BYU physicist Steven E. Jones as number 18 of the top 25 Censored news stories of 2007. His conclusion that the collapse of the towers is implausible according to the laws of physics has been vastly underreported by our corporate media.
A little of the story:
Jones claims that the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) ignored the physics and chemistry of what happened on September 11 and even manipulated its testing in order to get a computer-generated hypothesis that fit the end result of collapse, and did not even attempt to investigate the possibility of controlled demolition. He also questions the investigations conducted by FEMA and the 9/11 Commission.
Among the report’s other findings:

No steel-frame building, before or after the WTC buildings, has ever collapsed due to fire. But explosives can effectively sever steel columns.
This is their 30th year of reporting on stories that are generally ignored by the corporate media. I will have more on some of the other 25 in a future article.
