An IHOP in Quincy, MA, required all diners to hand over some form of ID to be seated. Finally, one guy objected and they reversed their policy. However, the security guard at the restaurant (a security guard at an IHOP?) had “at least 40 licenses in hand” when the guy arrived to eat.
